Match 84456278 — vindicta was landing only headshots from the very first second. She already has 6 reports, yet there’s still no ban or any action taken. I understand the game is in beta, but if the anti-cheat basically doesn’t work at all, maybe players with existing account bans shouldn’t be allowed into the game in the first place?
In that same match there were 3–4 players clearly using cheats (rem, paradox — all of them had critical damage higher than their normal damage, which is obviously not normal). And, surprise — they also have bans on their accounts.
Meanwhile the game is limiting my reports. Apparently I’m the problem here for reporting blatant cheaters.
I’m posting this in the Bug Reports section because there’s no separate category for player reports. The only related option is Team Composition Reports, which clearly doesn’t fit this situation.
While I somewhat agree with your sentiment that just a slippery slope argument. Just because someone cheated once in a game should it haunt them for the rest of their life? Beside already being branded a cheater. Obviously some people are just cheaters that think cheating is fun because they where born with incorrectly wired brain while others maybe did it once for that 1 game and never again. Not like Valve can discern between these two. Again, I get your point.

I get your point, but this game is in closed beta test. I can tolerate them playing when the game will be released, but why are they allowed now?

This is obviously not a perfect solution, but right now it feels like the anti-cheat in this game barely works at all. In 1000+ hours, I haven’t seen a single frog, and I’m not even sure whether any of my reports ever resulted in someone getting banned.
If the anti-cheat can’t even catch cases this obvious, then there’s basically no reason to expect more careful cheaters to ever get banned. From my experience, a lot of suspicious players already have bans on their accounts. And considering the game is still in beta, allowing players with existing bans (especially VAC bans) feels like a strange decision. It creates the impression that the game is actively hurting the quality of its own community and introducing problems that could have been avoided in the first place.

Why wouldn’t they be allowed now? It’s a invite only playtest alpha where no screening is done and the invites are from people with access to the game. Automation wouldn’t discern between an actual subhuman cheater and someone cheating once. I’m actually on your side on this but playing devil’s advocate.

If you’re some 12 year old who gets banned for blatantly hacking and you feel remorse several years later, get a new account then. But that’s the thing, tons of cheaters who don’t feel bad are doing the same. They are hoping for sympathy in order to exploit you. Most cheaters feel no remorse. Ruining your game is the game to them.

Its a game ban. You can get those from causing an indieslop dev to have a melty on their discussion forums.

i think game ban are always on games like rust/conan exiles/ SCPSL/ ARC/, and i think its always for cheating. i was once game banned that i got mass reported and game ban did appear in profile, but was removed after proper manual review, most likely the original user got a valid ban.

I tried cheating in CS early 00s for the sake of just trying. You’re just assuming once a cheater, always a cheater. In the same post I said there are 2 different types but ye, the once a cheater, always a cheater category is probably 90-99% of them.
Cheaters are buying $0.5 accounts with Deadlock and banned CS2. There are many such accounts on sale. Please remove Deadlock from accounts that have CS2 ban. At least until Deadlock is released.

Oh no I cheated once about 20 years ago. Guess I should be forever banned from playing games online ever again. I guess reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit. Either that or your attention span has been fried.

Solution is simple those who have cheated in the past should only be allowed to que players who have cheated in the past with same conditions this allows them to play but not ruin the players who have never cheated before
